Ignite International is honored to partner in the massive and historic effort of our dear friend, Doc Lawson, in his homeland. Liberia has undergone complete destruction as a result of the civil war that lasted for more than a decade. Everywhere one goes, the evidence of war cannot be denied. Every person one meets has been a casualty. Many have lost everyone in their lives to the war.
Homes....families....hopes.....dreams......innocence......destroyed.
It's a new day for Liberia, however. Using his influence as a former professional standout in the soccer world, Doc is taking it back. Through his own organization, Donami Sport, and in partnership with the YMCA of Liberia, Doc is using his platform as an elite, athlete to rebuild his beloved native land by engaging the youth in community sports programs. It is our distinct pleasure to be part of that process by taking Ignite International teams to work hands-on in sport clinics, meet with government officials, encourage youth sport leaders and train national sport federations to empower them to raise up the next generation in an atmosphere of hope.
Liberia will rise, and Ignite counts it an honor to be part of the process.
